Meet Jacqueline and our mission

I started Xtra Sharp as a way to help myself and others. I learned how to sharpen in February 2020 from Rob & Chris at Excalibur Sharpening when they sold to Mr Pets, and I was hired to be the sharpener. It was a fabulous opportunity to learn and grow in a new environment. I am quite adaptable to operating different types of machines and tools, as well as being able to work with others or alone, as one does when sharpening metal objects.

I have been a single parent for over 20 years, so now my boys are grown, and I am doing life a little differently, working to grow this business. I love helping others where I can, and if it is by keeping your tools sharp, then I am waiting to hear from you.

I hope customers feel good knowing that they have entrusted us with their gear and will get it back better than it left, and in excellent working condition. Our commitment to quality workmanship and a passion to help others is our guiding light.

We provide sharpening services for clipper blades (stylists, barbers, pet groomers, veterinary, equine, cattle, sheep), kitchen knives (restaurants, household), pocket and hunting knives, scissors (groomers, quilters, crafters, veterinary, household), and gardening tools (florists, agriculture, home gardeners).
